skills.sh is a modern standard for packaging modular AI instructions, prompts, and playbooks. Instead of asking an AI generic questions, a "skill" gives it deep domain knowledge—like expert marketing tactics, copywriting formulas, or code architectures.
skills.sh was originally designed for developers using the command line with npm. But most people who need copywriting, marketing, design, and growth skills aren't developers. We built this tool so anyone can browse, unpack, and copy any skill in 1-click right from their web browser.
No. Zero installation. Everything runs 100% inside your browser using WebAssembly. You can use it on any Mac, Windows, Linux, Chromebook, or mobile device.
Simply click "Copy Prompt". Then open ChatGPT, Claude, or any AI chat window, paste the prompt as your first message (or add it to your Custom Instructions / Projects), and start chatting!
Yes, 100%. Because the extractor runs entirely client-side with WebAssembly and local IndexedDB, your files, prompts, and repositories are processed directly in your browser. Nothing is ever saved to an external database.

Yes. Copy the compiled prompt into Cursor, Windsurf, Antigravity, or GitHub Copilot the same way you would paste it into ChatGPT or Claude. The compiler app can also export markdown for local agent folders.
Yes. Open the compiler workstation, paste any public GitHub skill repository URL or npx skills add command, and extract it. The 55+ library is a starting catalog, not a limit.
After the page and WASM engine load, curated prompts and IndexedDB playbooks work without a network. Fetching a new GitHub repository still needs connectivity to GitHub.
Skill Extractor is a compiler, not an author. Each curated skill is sourced from a public repository. See Credits & Sources for authors and original repo links.
Yes. It is open source under the MIT license. There is no paid tier and no telemetry backend. The source is on GitHub.
npx skills add installs a skill through Node.js on your machine. Skill Extractor performs the unpack and compile step in the browser so you can read and copy the playbook without a CLI toolchain. That is the problem we started from.
